Everything you need to know about the WHEELS web dashboard and mobile app – from first sign-up to advanced quaternion physics.
WHEELS (Wireless Hazard Early-warning Emergency Location System) is a two-part platform:
Together they give riders and teams professional-grade safety monitoring, ride analysis, and coordination tools.
The top of My Account shows your current plan, billing status, and team slot usage.
Team Name – Owners can rename the team.
Home Location – Set a base location for the default map center and local weather.
Invitations expire after 7 days.
Organize members into sub-teams with custom names, colors, and descriptions. Groups integrate with the Maps page for filtering and auto-zoom.
Each rider can store up to 5 vehicles. Use Database Mode to search our catalog of 38,000+ motorcycles with full specs, or Manual Mode for custom builds.
Store emergency contacts, blood type, allergies, medications, and insurance on each profile. This info appears instantly in the Maps emergency modal.
Browse recorded trips via the calendar. Owners can view any member’s rides. Each ride card shows date, duration, max speed, max lean, data points, and safety score.
Load Limited (1,000 points) for quick previews or Load All for full analysis. A real-time progress bar tracks the loading.
A 3D motorcycle model replays your ride with real telemetry. Controls: play/pause, skip events, 0.5×–4× speed, data overlays. Mouse to orbit, scroll to zoom, right-click to pan.
The Analytics page displays 14 interactive charts that update in sync with the 3D playback. Hover any data point for exact values.
A six-axis radar chart capturing your unique riding fingerprint: Max Speed, Avg Lean, Max G-Force, Hard Brakes, Sharp Turns, and Safety Score.
Every ride starts at 100 points. Deductions: hard brake −5, sharp turn −3, speed violation −2. Levels: 100 = Perfect, 80+ = Low Risk, 60–79 = Medium, <60 = High Risk.
For riders who want the math behind the numbers.
Lean Angle is computed three ways: quaternion-based (preferred, uses sensor-fusion orientation + mount calibration matrix), gravity-vector (atan2 of lateral vs. vertical gravity), or logged (pre-calculated on device). The quaternion method is immune to centripetal acceleration errors.
G-Force uses a motorcycle-specific Kalman filter to suppress engine vibration, then subtracts gravity to isolate dynamic forces, decomposed into longitudinal and lateral components.
Speed normalization auto-detects units (m/s, km/h, mph) and converts to a consistent base. Altitude similarly normalizes between feet and meters.
Energy: Kinetic = ½mv², Potential = mgΔh. Bounce detection flags and smooths physically implausible accelerometer spikes.
All team members on a Google Map, refreshing every 30 seconds. Color-coded status markers, info windows with GPS, address, battery, and ride count.
Emergency modal with medical info, one-tap Call 911, Call/Email emergency contact, precise GPS coordinates, and full-screen red warning mode.
Switch between Users and Groups views. Selecting a group highlights members, auto-zooms, and dims non-members.
All plans include every feature. They differ in included riders and add-on cost:
Available on Apple App Store and Google Play. Collects 90+ data points at up to 10 Hz. Sign in with your web credentials.
Reads from accelerometer, gyroscope, magnetometer, GPS, barometer, and ambient light sensor.
Run the in-app calibration with your motorcycle on a level surface to compute a transformation matrix that corrects all future readings. Enables ±0.5° lean-angle accuracy.
Real-time crash and fall detection with automatic location sharing and emergency contact alerts.
High-contrast UI for outdoor visibility, TRON RED mode for night-vision preservation, and glove-friendly oversized controls.
WHEELS does not collect personal information to share with third parties. Data is stored securely and only accessible to you and your team.
Passwords hashed with bcrypt, all APIs rate-limited, sign-up protected by Cloudflare Turnstile CAPTCHA, and input sanitization against XSS.
